Life in the Time of Coronavirus

We live in unprecedented times – the Covid-19 pandemic is engulfing the world. People are asked to protect themselves and their fellow human beings by staying at home as much as possible and when outside, keep a two metre distance from other people. The lockdown is slowly being relaxed but it could be imposed again if there is a second virus wave. We will not be safe until there is a reliable vaccine – but that will take time.

In the meantime the new pieces I'm making fit under the umbrella of Life in the Time of Coronavirus. There are some positives to it. My sunny garden, full of flowers, cheers me up; bird song is uplifting; and clean air is a delight. Traffic by road and air has notably diminished. What has been happening is quite an achievement, and it goes to show that a better world can be achieved, In the old-fashioned phrase, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’.
